Fisherman’s Hall in Dunmore East, Co Waterford, is a detached five-bay single-storey hall.
It was built in the 1800s on a cruciform plan with single-bay single-storey gabled higher projecting bays to west and to east having single-bay single-storey flat-roofed lower flanking porches to west, and single-bay single-storey canted elevation to south.
It was renovated and extended around 1975.
The hall has strong associations with the maritime industry that has traditionally supported much of the economy of Dunmore East.
Suirside Construction Ltd were proud to work on the Hall’s recent renovation project. Working with architect Wigham McGrath & Partners and QS William Curtin, Suirside Construction Ltd completed extensive commercial works.
Reasonably well maintained, the building retains most of its original form and massing so it was important that the works carried out were done so in keeping the building’s integrity.
