The project at Quest Cork involved a comprehensive refurbishment, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. The scope of work included the addition of two fire-rated lobbies with new stud walls and fire-sealed ventilation units, alongside the installation of new fire doors to ensure full compliance with safety standards. The flooring was completely replaced with new carpets, and the furniture and ceiling layouts were redesigned to maximize space efficiency. This required careful coordination of the ceiling design, including the addition of curved bulkheads, new ceiling tiles, and the re-routing of ventilation units to align with the updated layout. New ventilation units and smoke heads were installed where necessary, and feature ceilings with timber battens and wooden baffles were introduced in breakout areas for a modern and inviting touch.

Custom furniture pieces, such as a new kitchen, breakfast counter, printer station, and planter boxes, were installed, along with a striking feature wall of timber battens.

The electrical work involved re-routing floor boxes to accommodate the new furniture layout, installing hanging lights, and adding power outlets. Plumbing was also reworked, including the rerouting of hot, cold, and wastewater lines to serve the newly designed kitchen, and the decommissioning of the old sink.

To finish, ready-made furniture was imported and installed, and the entire space was painted and cleaned before handover.

This project at Quest Cork successfully transformed the space into a modern, efficient, and safe environment, meeting all safety regulations and design requirements.
