St. Laserian’s Special School is a mixed school that caters for students aged 4-18. The students present with learning difficulties in the range of Mild, Moderate, Severe, and Profound General Learning Disability.

The works consisted of energy efficiency retrofit works including insulation of thermal bridges, pitched roofs, pumped bonded bead insulation to cavity walls, external windows and door replacement, external wall insulation systems, and external rendering. Replacement of flat roofs, roof lights, clerestory windows, and surrounds were also carried out.

Energy Efficient Retrofit Works 01

A new mechanical ventilation heat recovery system was installed along with a new air handling unit and an upgrade to LED lights throughout the building.

All works were carried out during the summer months, which was completed to a tight schedule and a quality finish, to make sure the students could come back to a safe environment.
